89.1 KHOL Jackson Hole Community Radio owns and operates the radio station in accordance with three underlying principles. First, the station provides news and information that is focused on the northwest region of the state. Second, the station fosters cultural expression in the community through locally produced programs. Finally, the station maintains the tradition of public radio by educating and informing listeners with a diversity of music and views that challenge people to explore new ideas.
Of the more than 13,000 radio stations in the United States, less than 300 are licensed as community-specific. Grassroots, driven by volunteers, and committed to diverse programming, KHOL listeners can expect in-depth local news, new music, and a discussion forum that will address topics that are unique to our community. In the spirit of non-profit community radio, and in keeping with our Federal Communications Commission licensing, KHOL is completely free of advertisements and funded by generous listeners like you.
